THE SOVIET NADIR

New from Firefight Games. The Soviet Nadir: Cataclysm at Zhawar, Afghanstan 1986, depicts the April 1986 operation when the Soviet trained Aghanistan army dropped its commandos near the infamous Zhawar complex of 40 caves and 11,500 foot long tunnels located near the Pakistani border. The first day proved disasterous for them, with only 8 out of 32 helicopters surviving. The airdrop was surrounded by the Muhjahieen. The Soviets sent in their gunships and SU25s to keep them at bay until reinforcements could arrive. It was a life and death struggle. Features 11x17" map and 280 counters. Price: $17.
