General Feedback Commentary
"I think Steve did an excellent job with this review, giving equal balance to the game's strengths and weaknesses.""My rating and review would be the same, the map is a disaster, and detracts from the value of the game."
"Good overview of the system. Unfortunately, the poor components and lack of player aids overshadow what appears to be a good system."
"Informative and on the mark. The game warrants serious attention from grognards."
"Seems a good overall summary of good points and bad. The game seems inordinately expensive for its component list, even if the components were of industry standard (which apparently they are not)."
"Steve (and I know him personally) gave a very well balanced review and it comes from actually playing the game and not just solitairing it. I believe he was fair in singing its praise and condemning its faults. If anything it just reinforced my belief in staying away from any game from CH/MiH because the quality has gone down since the takeover/merger. It's a shame though because I believe that they have some great ideas but poor delivery."

thru 15 June '00"I thought that Steve's review was very fair and also on the mark. The only other thing that I thought of to mention was the obvious use of the Storm Over Arnhem system from AH as the bedrock to build the game from. Like Paths of Glory using the We The People system, Ted Racier has chosen a great GAMING system to showcase this battle. Way to go Ted!"
"Tactical WWI isn't really my cup of team, but the game sounds interesting."
"The review pretty much hits the nail on the head. The game system is fairly unique and plays well. The components are substandard."
"Nice and to the point. Gave a real good overview of the game."
"I will still purchase it. I believe the game being designed by Ted still needs to be given the benefit of the doubt. Both of his WWI games are excellent. I can live with the simplicity of the game if there is much strategy as stayed by the reviewer."
"The reviewer states, "Sadly, the map is also rife with errors. The map on the box is advertised as being 35"x22"; actual size is 31.5"x22", so 3.5" inches shorter." I'm not sure how this misprint on the box affects play, and one "problem" hardly warrants the word 'rife'."
Strongest Aspect of the Review
"The reviewer doesn't hesitate to point out negative aspects of the game.""Completeness and fairness."
"Good job describing the game's strengths."
"Steve does get you into the battle and vividly describes every nuance and the best part is that he goes beyond just giving a game review and even makes historical references and compares it to other games on the subject."
"Definitely seems that Steve played the game!"
"Right amount of detail in the description to offer a reasonable expectation of the game."
"Great overview of how the system works."
"I like that real culprit was mentioned on the overall desigh of the components of the game CRITICAL HIT."
Weakest Aspect of the Review
"Steve should have also included some play tips especially in regard to the strengths and weaknesses of both sides. We get a little bit of each sides advantages but never a general overview of them, but that's comparatively minor.""Should've nailed Critical Hit about the "Player Usefulness" of the map space and the charts and tables even more-there's no reason that a company can't make a game as easily accessible as possible. Haven't you ever seen a game that could've been a contender if only the company had organized the components a little better? I know I have (about every game that never gets played!)."
"About the only thing I think the author neglected to say was the the game is being offered by CH with your choice of another game for free, which is why I took the plunge and bought it."
