"A simplified but not uninteresting version of a battle very few people know much about. Not much on visuals - the counters sport day-glo colors, which look a tad anachronistic - but a good day for the crash and bash crowd. Lots of units (all cavalry) pounding away at each other, and enough tough decisions (portrayed by accessible rules) to keep the player in you happy."

The game's initiative system works very well and allows several approaches to play. A subtle system that bears repeated play. I have played it three times with two different opponents and both said they would play again...a rarity in a magazine game!"
