We were extremely pleased to see one of the finest Napoleonic grand strategic games published, EMPIRES IN ARMS, in full swing at MonsterGame.CON. Here we see Eric Crawford, AZ (left) and Mitch Ledford (AZ) conducting administrative functions. The game was played from January 1805 through September 1807. The French definitely had the upper hand on the Continent, but had a scare with several raids along the coast, including the brief capture of Paris. The Prussians were crushed militarily, but had built up a good lead in victory points. Austrians were gearing up for another beating by the French. British command of the sea was challenged. Turks controlled all of North Africa. Russians were supporting the Prussians and Austrians on the continent. Unfortunately, such a small percentage of the game had been played that the ultimate winner could not be determined. Lesson for next time ... pick a shorter campaign game !
