Designer Perry Moore Seeks Publisher for ARMY GROUP NORTH

Game Designer Perry Moore recently contacted ConsimWorld.COM regarding one of his recent design efforts, which focuses on Army Group North (WWII). Perry is best known for his design work on LANDSHIPS, published by Clash of Arms Games.

I am finishing up work on a new ARMY GROUP NORTH game. The 17" x 22" map has already been completed by Joe Youst and depicts the Riga area. The game covers the Russian entrapment of the German 16th and 18th armies and the German counterattack.

This is a new design with revolutionary new rules. For example, units have no movement ratings (this factor is dependent upon their parent HQ) and a unit's combat strength is represented by a class. The combat class value can change from turn to turn due to combat losses or replacements.

The game begins with the huge 25 mile gap between the 3rd Pz Army and 16th Army and the Russians racing towards Tuckums. The game scale is regiment/division (some battalions), each turn is 2 days, from mid-July to September. Each hex is about 6 miles. The short scenario covers the week long attempt of the Russians to breakthrough to Riga from September 14-25.

I would rather sell the game to a publisher than release it myself, and therefore urge any interested parties to contact me directly to learn more regarding this project. If I release this game myself, it will cost $15 or so and have DTP quality for the counters, 280 in all.

I have several other projects whose publishing rights have been picked up by Operational Studies Group and Moments in History. I'm sure these publishers will release a news report on these titles at the appropriate time. Meanwhile, my Iran-Iraq War design to be published by The Microgame Co-Op has already been announced.
