Web Site Updated in Support of Great Campaigns of the American Civil War

Ed Beach, co-designer of ON TO RICHMOND!, has recently updated his impressive Web site supporting the entire game Great Campaigns of the American Civil War series, published by The Avalon Hill Game Company. This site includes a fair number of new material as detailed below.

1. An update on current work regarding new projects for the series. These projects include:
- A set of Standard Rules for all games in the series (available this summer)
- Volume 7 in the series: Grant Takes Command, covering the 1864 Overland campaign, from the Wilderness to Cold Harbor.

2. A new scenario for owners of ON TO RICHMOND! entitled "Gaines Mill". This short, two-day scenario should be ideal for tournament play. It will be used in the ON TO RICHMOND! tournament at the World Boardgaming Championships (WBC) this summer.

3. Speaking of the WBC (which replaces Avaloncon), the Great Campaigns tournament information on the web site is updated to reflect plans for this year's tournaments. As reported by Ed Beach, Don Greenwood has done a great job revitalizing this convention after the loss of Avalon Hill; he encourages all interested to attend. With the addition of games from other companies, Ed believes this should be the best convention yet. Each year this convention represents the premier gathering place for fans of the Great Campaigns series, with no less than 5 individual game tournaments and an overall championship on the schedule.

4. The latest set of AREA ratings for players of the series.

Note: Other titles in the series include: STONEWALL JACKSON'S WAY, STONEWALL IN THE VALLEY, STONEWALL'S LAST BATTLE, HERE COME THE REBELS, and ROADS TO GETTYSBURG.
