November 4, 1998 - Company Update
New Revision Released for WORLD IN FLAMES: FINAL EDITION |
as reported by John Kranz and Tom Cleaveland
Harry Rowland of Australian Design Group has just issued the 4th Edition Rules for WORLD IN FLAMES: FINAL EDITION (WiF:FE). This new edition (RAW4) incorporates errata issued since January 1998 and clears up the language of various passages.
Furthermore, another 113 page document (yes, that is 113 pages, not 13) is a consolidated set of all Q&A (ordered by rule section, then by date) issued by Harry Rowland to the WiF mailing list since WiF:FE's release in late 1996.
Both documents are available as free downloads at Vesa's World in Flames Web site. For those who don't relish the thought of reading another 90-page rulebook, Patrice Forno has posted a 13-page document on the WiF French Page that enumerates the differences between RAW3 and RAW4.
There appears to be quite a bit of errata and new interpretations included in RAW4, so as always, one will have to invest significant time to learn the nuances of the changes and clarifications - and more importantly - have to coordinate with other WiF enthusiasts to make sure they are also referring to this 4th Rules Edition.
