TRILOBITE, the latest Insecta Expansion from Sierra Madre Games, is in playtest mode right now. Please contact me if you are interested in playtesting. Release of Trilobite expected late this year.
Announcing the Preliminary Design Phase of Sierra Madre Games two newest ventures: HISTORY OF AMERICA (Part 1, 1775-1879) and HISTORY OF AMERICA (Part 2, 1880-2000).
Part one is a simulation of the expansion of America, and an investigation into all its alternate histories. (What if the Industrial Revolution stalls? What if the South won the Civil War? What if Texas, California, New Zion, Sierra Madre, Florida remained independent? What if the U.S. annexes all of Mexico? What if the Storming of the Bastille occurs in Washington D.C.? What if Mexico becomes the arrogant super power and America the land of siestas and "manana"? YES, these are ALL POSSIBLE!!!!).
Part two is the documentary of America political struggles since 1879, the compromise of its philosophies and principles, the rise of mixed economy style regulation and welfare, and its end of self-isolationism abroad. But with the elixir of possible futures & alternatives thrown in. What if the gold standard were still in effect, what if income tax had not been adopted, what if we had stayed out of the World Wars and NATO, what if America goes anarchist or fascist and builds its own iron curtain to keep citizens IN, etc.).
Parts one and two may be played together or separately.
I am looking for an unemployed and frustrated historian who has a thorough knowledge of U.S. history, and multi-player playtesting. I am willing to pay $15 per hour for an hour or two of consulting, or perhaps a flat fee for work done on objective ratings of U.S. personalities. Contact me at the address or email below.
