ATO/Battles Magazine "Capture Berlin" Bundle

Special bundle offer from Against the Odds and Battles Magazine. The “Capture Berlin” bundle includes two complete games for just $44.95 (US residents) or € 34.95 (rest of the world) — including postage! Fortress Berlin covers all main portions of the city, 500 yards per hex, with turns in great detail (unit strength varies, but on down to company level. Race for Berlin borrows from the old “Battle for Germany” style of play, because each player operates both offense and defense. One player handles Zhukov AND the Germans who face Koniev, while the other player commands Koniev’s 1st Ukrainian Front AND the Germans facing Zhukov’s 1st Byelorussian Front. It’s a true “race” to Berlin.

ATO's Legend to Debut at ORIGINS

Against the Odds will have a booth at Origins and expect to debut issue #32: Birth of a Legend. Michael Rinella adapts his award-winning Not War but Murder system to the Seven Days Battles fought outside Richmond in 1862, which saw Robert E. Lee’s image shift from “Granny Lee” and “King of Spades” into one of the most famous commanders in American history…truly the “birth of a legend.”  The Seven Days Battles are one of the lessor known campaigns of the American Civil War. Rinella’s area-movement, impulse game system will give both players challenges and insights into the problems both commanders faced. At Origins, the AtO folks will also have their recently released Hungarian Nightmare and be offering a sneak peak at an upcoming Pocket Battle game covering the French Old Guard at Waterloo. Definitely worth a visit.
