[F] CSW Forum / *Game Company Support / Fog of War Publications

Fog of War Publications, LLC is a print and play publishing company specializing in card-driven game (CDG) simulations. Its primary mission is to provide a quality product within a relatively short period of time that reflects the designer’s/founder’s vision. Graphics will be above average but utilitarian, with the product priced accordingly. As such it is largely (but not exclusively) focused on the CDG designs of its founder (and sole proprietor), John B. Firer. As this is a start-up company, initial availability and contact will be established outside of a website. Each product will initially have a forum on CSW and BGG, with samples of the product. In addition, ordering instructions and a list of products available will be posted as Attachments on this site. Correspondence should be sent to fowpubs@gmail.com

Where can we find more information on the referenced products? Rules, maps, counters, etc? I didn't find anything on BGG for 'Panzers of Spring - France 1940'. I *did* find the Fog-of-War-LLC page at BGG, but not much else. thanks!

Thanks John for the interest!

AOB and Ides have forums on both CSW and BGG. I also have a forum as a designer on BGG. As the other designs come close to completion, I will establish forums for each game on CSW and BGG (if allowed). Below is a link to the Blitzkrieg variant discussion forum:

http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX/.1ddbdcd6/2

Ref materials, I will most likely put up a sample of the counters for the Blitzkrieg Eastern Front as an attachment at the above link in the near future. However, since this is a print and play company, extensive posting of the rules will most likely NOT occur since these could be very easily compromised.

The products will be very reasonably priced, e.g. $5.00 for the Eastern Front Blitzkrieg variant, so the consumer is not risking much and getting a great return on their remittance.

Regards,

JBF

Why can't I see that without hearing that song from The Producers? :eyeroll:

First Customer!

Mr. Daniel Davis has the distinction of being the Premier Customer for Fog of War Publications. He purchased "WWII Era Blitzkrieg Variant - Eastern Front".

I hope you enjoy it Daniel and thanks for your support!

Sincerely,

Ruminations

I am close to finishing my WWII Era Blitzkrieg Variant on France 1940 which will be available for purchase. Next step will be to polish up one of my previous designs for final presentation.

Am torn between a number of options, so thought I would get a sense of what my consumers might be interested in:

- Age of Bismarck

- Ides of March

- Gaul is Divided

All are completed designs but some may require more review attention than others. The first two were designed over 10 years ago and I may want to fine-tune them a bit. Specifically for AOB, perhaps reducing the number of cards from 110 to somewhere in the vicinity of 80-90. For Ides, same issue from 110 cards to perhaps 75-85 actual playing cards. Also, some slight rules adjustment may be in order as well as some counter redesign. Lastly Gaul would require the least amount of work, probably some slight adjustments to the map and counters; at 55 cards, it has already reached the number of cards I prefer in my designs (more on that later).

Age of Bismarck would definitely be nice. I wonder how you'll manage not to make the game too scripted.

Carl,

There is little or no scripting.

AOB vs. Ides of March

I have only received comments on priority of production from interested parties via this site. I will give it a little more time and then make my decision, so if you have an opinion, now is the time to voice it.
