[2 December 2021] It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Christopher Dean. Many members are loyal customers to Christopher and his NWS online store. Sadly, Christopher suffered a string of family losses recently. We certainly want to celebrate his memory and wish him Godspeed and to be at peace and reunited with his father and wife of thirty years.
I know we're all getting greyer, but one doesn't expect news such as this. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given the recent loss of his wife. He was always a gentleman to deal with, and will be missed.
Sadly the list of "in Memory of" threads is getting longer each year with Christopher being the latest. He bought games from us for as long as we've been in business (12+ years), and even before that actually when I was with Khyber Pass Games. I did not know him personally but each and every transaction was pleasant and friendly.
Thanks friend, for being one of the many gentlemen who inhabit this hobby.
In memory is getting so frequent that it is getting its own sub-forum. Which is also sad. I hope there is an after-life of some sort where all our lost gamers can roll some dice together.
Thank you, Christopher, for the years of serving our community so faithfully. You have been a blessing. It was always a pleasure to communicate with you, and I shall greatly miss the opportunity to purchase games through you. I received my most recent order from you only one week ago.... May our Lord cherish and care for you in your repose beyond this world. You shall be missed by many. Your friend, Michael.
Thank you Christohper for all your support in the past
A heavy heart to learn just today of Christopher passing. It was a pleasure chatting with you in the past. Thanks to all you done in the wargaming community. God bless Chris and his family.
MY name is Dylan Lee Hiers I am the nephew rest in peace Uncle Christopher Ive only gotten news recently of my aunt and uncles passing I have not seen them in years I only wish to have been able to talk to them again
So very sorry to hear of Chris' passing. Like so many others, I had been doing business with Chris for years. I knew of his father's passing earlier in the year. But I never heard of him also losing his wife. May God bless Chris and his family. What a loss indeed.
I heard of Christopher's passing this past Feb. I have dealt with him, getting 1/72 scale wargame supplies for the past 6 years. His was the best store, with unbeatable prices. If my wife only knew how much I spent there!! :O Does anyone know who handles the estate? I placed an order with him, the 2nd or 3rd of Dec, and of course, it was never filled. Paypal is of no help. Any assistance is appreciated, Mike
