New Work and Artist!
Agreed, the graphics for Nemesis: The Battle of Abbey Ardenne look great! Nemesis uses a similar design as that in Diamond in the Rough: The Battle for Fort Driant, and the upcoming Heroes' Crossroad: The Battle of Lausdell. Players use a standard deck of cards to activate units and resolve some game events. Also, we have another new graphic artist "in the house"! Ilya Kudriashov contacted me last week and he's agreed to take on Heroes' Crossroads as his debut work with High Flying Dice Games. You can view samples of some of his previous work here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/129656904@N06/sets/ I'm very excited that Ilya's working with us, and look forward to what he does with Heroes' Crossroad. Release Schedule Adjustment
It looks like Antonio needs some more time with the graphics to Blood and Carnage. Bruce, however, was able to get Nemesis: The Battle of Abbey Ardenne finished up for final proofreading. I was able to get that done earlier today, so it looks like that will be released soon. I also have a cardset made to go with Nemesis that replaces the standard deck of cards. Both the game and cardset will be released at the same time.
We'll likely release Perry Moore's Blood and Carnage: The Battle of Komsomolskoye in July.
Stay tuned and let the dice fly high!

More Dueling Eagles!
I just got in another "flock" of Dueling Eagles "Pocket Battle" postcard games. This is the first of what I hope to be several such games that spotlight our growing catalog and artists. A free copy of Dueling Eagles will go out with any order that includes at least 1 Professional Series game. If it is part of a 4 game order, I'll also through in a set of mounted/cut-out counters.
I'll also include a free copy of Dueling Eagles with each cardset that is ordered.

Nemesis! finished
Nemesis: The Battle of Abbey Ardenne is finished. This minigame on the June 7th fight between the Canadians and Hitler Youth division was the first of many between these two bitter foes. The massacre of Canadian POWs during the battle was an event that would never be forgiven or forgotten. Each copy of Nemesis comes with an 11 by 17 map, counter and tables sheet, and 4 pages of rules. Players use a standard deck of playing cards to activate their units and resolve some game events. The game sells for $5.95 plus shipping. Mounted counters can be had for an additional $5.00. A Nemesis cardset is also available. This replaces the standard deck of playing cards, features appropriate graphics and rules reminders on pertinent cards. The Nemesis cardset sells for $7.00 plus shipping. You can also get either the Nemesis game or cardset for free with any direct order to High Flying Dice Games of 4 titles. If at least one of them is a Professional Series game your order will also qualify for free (inside USA) or third off (outside USA) shipping. You can view the game's components and place an order here: http://www.hfdgames.com/nemesis.html Let the dice fly high!

Bad Moon Rising
I recently received this new game from Paul. My gaming buddy and I decided to give it a whirl. The rules are not long and the concepts are all easy to pick up quickly. There are some rule numbering problems and a couple of items that needed clarification and the addenda file addressed those problems.
The game took us 2.5 hours to play for the first time and I can see that with experience, it will likely only take about an hour and a half to play. The US player is on the defensive here and need to bring his artillery and air assets to bear on the NVA troops. But he also has to trade this off with rallies to reorganize his units before the NVA can eliminate them. This is particularly important in the opening turns because US units start Stunned and pinned on the front line (because the NVA gets to pick those affected before the start of turn 1) and if the NVA gets in, they can quickly eliminate them and reduce the US morale, which affects the rallying adversely.
Both of us enjoyed the game and plan to table the game again soon. Well done Paul.

I'm not inclined towards Vietnam games, and so my opinion could be safely ignored. However, since this is the interwebz, I'll give it anyway: That looks like playing a game on a brown paper bag.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think Bruce did an excellent job in capturing the look and feel of the firebase with the map and all other game components.

Playtest Call
Play testers are needed for a minigame on the January 1941 battle of Mechili. The game uses the same design as that with Diamond in the Rough. Players use a standard deck of playing cards to activate their units and resolve some game events. A game takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.
If you and a gaming partner would like to help out please contact me (sorry, no other solitaire only testing is needed).
