Great pictures and AAR, thanks. Looks like you have the die cut version...iirc my version of that game has laser chunked counters.

Enrique - Amazing pictures, as usual. I'm playing Drive on Ponyri I, although a cat has partially disturbed it, even under plexi. Thankfully, I have pictures. I'm thinking about playing through the entire Ponyri cycle. It's a tough slog for the Germans.

I finished my solo game of "Making Hay" tonight. It came down to the wire. The US was making some good assaults and M4 flanking runs late in the game; the Germans were on the verge of losing when I repositioned the Tiger. After some complicated back and forth, which included some desperate US infantry assaults on the Tiger's town hex (give those guys a medal, they were all lost) to keep it from firing on the exposed M4s, the Tiger eventually got off some shots before the M4s could dash...it eliminated 3 steps (which translates to 6VPs) and that was enough to maintain the German draw and avoid a loss.
The final VP tally was US 38 and Germany 34.5. Very close but a draw all the same.
I really enjoyed this scenario. The early turns might feel a bit waste-ey, especially if the Germans play timidly early. It might be worth fighting forward though.

Peter, I finally found what scenario you are playing: Invasion of Germany, #38: Making Hay.
When AP combined North of Elsenborn, Aachen 1994, Siegried Line, Roer River Battles and West Wall all into Invasion Germany, I sold all my single folders mentioned above and replaced it with Invasion Germany.
I think I have only played 5 scenarios out of it so far, so that leaves me another 43 outstanding scenarios to go!

It is a good scenario and I think will test the more impatient 'shoot-em-up' type of an opponent who just can't wait to roll dice. Its all about ground for time and then time-ing your attacks and commitals. Good game that demonstrates the fighting and its particular style around the Westwall.

I'm looking over "March on Leningrad" for my next scenario. It got me to thinking about my last Russia trip.
I took this picture (outdoors) at the summer palace of Peter the Great. The Germans occupied it and nearly completely destroyed it during the Leningrad campaign. It was rebuilt after the war, slowly, over a period of years.
At the summer palace they have a variety of historical displays of the destruction and rebuilding. This first picture is of the destruction.

And here is one of the rebuilding.

Korean War: Pusan Perimeter, scenario #6: Chaos at Uijongbu
Korean War: Pusan Perimeter, scenario #6: Chaos at Uijongbu
This is larger scenario but looks simple enough, as the victory conditions solely depends on the North Koreans exiting off 70 steps off the south edge of the map and they have a pretty large armor-infantry battlegroup with about half of the infantry mobile in some way; Trucks, Motorcycle or APC-BTR-40s. But it is not that simple, as the South Koreans have great defendable terrain on map 95, three entrenchments and tons of off-board artillery that won’t do much against armor but may help slow the foot-infantry.
The ROK defensive lines were setup right at the front with an artillery park a couple maps back. The NKPA sent their armor forward to attack the ROK infantry and heavy weapons followed by their foot-infantry to make or exploit holes in the lines and bring down their own off-board artillery. Waiting further back was the mobile NKPA infantry to drive off the edge of the map if a hole in the ROK lines did open up or if they were needed to reinforce the attack.
This scenario turned very tense, as the NKPA had a time line to meet and breaking the ROK front line was taking too much time. Finally after a large enough hole in the ROK lines were open, the armor and mobile infantry poured through to the south edge of the map. But barely enough, only 71 steps, one step over what was needed and thankful for them the tanks steps counted double. The North Koreans won this one with one turn to spare and only by a couple of steps and left most of the foot-infantry behind to battle it out with the ROK units. Casualties don’t really matter in this scenario, so it’s kind of fun not to worry about it in this scenario. A couple more road-blocks by the ROKs and they might have won this scenario.
Funny thing is, as a Designer note, I noticed many guys claim they want large scenarios but from what I see in the PG-HQ, the smaller and medium scenarios get played much more offend.
