Black Cat Studio is the fledgling DTP effort by game cartographer Rick Barber (aka El Carto, hereabouts.) Home of great graphics, innovative small games (such as Runnin' Amuck! (c)) and great looking game components and add-ons, such as the upcoming Terra Guerra (c) series of geomorphic map sections for squad and platoon level games.

- El Carto's GB'63 - For use with APL's Dave Powell's GB'63 (sorry, Dave!) $35.00
- El/C's Borodino - for use with GMT's Borodino T&G game (slightly oversized.) $35.00
- El/C's Mosby's Raiders - for use with, well, you get the picture... $35.00
- El/C's Cedar Mountain - - for use with the original SPI game, and will be used in the upcoming GBACW remake.... $35.00
- El/C's GBOC - (That's Blocks of Courage!) - three sheets; Gettysburg (2), Dillsburg (1) $90.00
- El/C's Gettysburg 151 - - replacement map for Worthington's GB 150 game, sized to fit on the original and allow use of that map's tracks and such... $35.00
- El/C's We Three Kings - Austerlitz:

- two sheet version/ 200 per hex, for use with a couple of games out there. $70/$50 prepub - four sheet version/ 140 per hex.for use with La Bat de Austerlitz components; $140/$100 prepub

- El Carto's Crimson Harvest - The Antietam Battlefield at 180 per hex for use with In Their Quiet Fields or any other Brigade scale treatment of the battle - $35

- El Carto's The Chosen Ground - the Pipe Creek Battlefield scaled for use with This Hallowed Ground or Three Days of Gettysburg components - Prototype work in progress.

- Epsom/Jupiter - An 8 (11 x 17) sheet set of maps covering much of the area of the 1944 battles; nominally scaled at 125/hex for TCS, but with hex size to accommodate any WWII Platoon level game. - 8 Sheets $35

- El Carto's Quatre Bras - Two sheets at 100/hex, suitable for La Bat and other such scaled games - $70

- El Carto's Waterloo - Three full sheets at an exact 100/hex - matching graphics with the above QB map. - $105.

- El Carto's Ligny - Five full sheets (well, 4 full and 2 half) - matches the above two - $175.

- El Carto's Wavre - Three full sheets, mates with the Waterloo maps - $105.

- Full sheet maps for all the Blind Swords games from Revolution - Stonewall's Sword, Thunder in the Ozarks, Longstreet Attacks! and Kernstown, and Tiny Battles' The Devil's to Pay!, the First Day at Gettysburg. These are printed at 110%, giving 22mm rather than the 20mm hexes in the published games. - $35 each

- Summer Storm - Three sheets (two full, two half) - SALE - $90/$120 if combined with the single sheet for my SS Expansion The Devil's to Pay.

- Last Eagles - Quatre Bras and Ligny - these are my own versions of the Hexasim maps I designed, done in the same 'style' as my Grognard maps above. These are at 200/hex, and cover the entire four sheets I designed back then, rather than the truncated 3 1/2 maps in their combined game (giving both flanks 5 more hexrows to maneuver/defend.) - $120 preorder, with expected printing shipping as soon as I can get the buggers done!

Special conditions - All prices include S&H in the USA east of the Mississippi. West of the Mississippi $5 additional. Canada $10 additional; Europe and elsewhere $15 more. These surcharges are per order, and not per sheet. All maps shipped rolled (never folded!) in a sturdy mailing tube.

All maps printed on 24lb stock, using a wax based ink that gives a very subtle texture and a very nice matte finish. 36lb stock is also available, at an additional $5 per sheet.

RIP Rick

What sad news! Rick will be missed. His maps were beautiful and added an extra experience of pleasantry when playing games that had his maps. Will never forget spending a weekend with him, Claude W., Dave P. and others at Gettysburg and walking the ground of the 2nd day and then the 1st day. Extremely enlightening. He will be missed. RIP Rick.

Very sad news.

Rick had contacted me recently to do some Summer Storm-like counters for the Devils to Pay game.

He was always very helpful.
